Queen Elizabeth

Queen Elizabeth II, born on April 21, 1926, is the longest-reigning current monarch and the longest-serving current head of state in the world. She became Queen of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth realms on February 6, 1952, following the death of her father, King George VI.

During her reign, Queen Elizabeth II has witnessed significant historical events, including the decolonization of Africa and the Caribbean, the Cold War, the Troubles in Northern Ireland, and various changes within the British monarchy.

She has played a ceremonial role as the head of state, representing the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth at home and abroad. Queen Elizabeth II has met with numerous world leaders and has seen the evolution of the British monarchy into a more modern and symbolic institution.

In 2015, she surpassed the previous record held by her great-great-grandmother, Queen Victoria, as the longest-reigning British monarch. Queen Elizabeth II's reign has been marked by stability, adaptability, and a commitment to public service. However, please note that my knowledge is current up to September 2021, and I do not have information on events or developments beyond that date.
